Our volunteers are an integral part of what makes WOW! a fun and educational community resource.
How do I become a WOW! volunteer?
Follow the steps below to volunteer! Please fill out the volunteer application first before proceeding with the other steps.
- Fill out the below form.
- WOW! Staff will reach out to you to schedule a volunteer interview and tour.
- Undergo a background check, if over 18.
- Read the volunteer handbook.
Volunteer Requirements
- A commitment of at least 25 hours and/or 6 months of service. Looking for less of a time commitment? Check out our Special Events volunteering opportunities.
- Volunteers aged 15- 17 years may volunteer with a signed parental approval
- At this time, we are not able to accept volunteers under the age of 15.
- Volunteers over the age of 18 must undergo a background check.

Play Ambassador
Assist in our Create Space and be a playful presence around the Museum with our young visitors.

Exhibits & Building Maintenance
Assist our Exhibits and Facilities Manager with routine exhibit maintenance and small repairs. Expertise in woodworking, electrical work, painting, and plumbing is always welcome.

Special Events Committee
Work closely with staff in planning and preparing for our WOW! on Tap and Family FUNdraiser events throughout the year.

WOW! on Tap Volunteer
Our largest fundraiser event of the year needs your help! Game stations, drink stations, photography, silent auction assistance, food assistance and more! Must be 21+. This year's event is September 15th, 2023.

Help with special events by facilitating activities, crafts, and set up/clean up of events.

Help us translate Museum documents, signage, and promotional pieces into Spanish.
