Join us for the WOW! Literacy Festival on May 4, 2024 from 1:00-4:00pm in partnership with the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI).

More than twenty children's book authors and illustrators will be on hand throughout the afternoon with readings, fun activities, and opportunities to get your book signed. Books will be sold at WOW! through a table set up by our neighbor The Read Queen.

Included with admission or membership, and financial support is available for those in need.

WOW! Children’s Museum is delighted to announce our first-ever Sensory Friendly Teen night, designed for teens with autism or sensory processing disorders. Our friends from Pop Culture Classroom will present their World Building Workshop, and teens will have exclusive access to Museum exhibits in this special evening program.

Who doesn't love getting lost in fictional worlds like the Star Wars universe or adapting history as they do in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series? Teens will have the chance to create their own sci-fi/fantasy world in this creative writing and art workshop! They’ll learn the process of building a world and make it come to life by designing a map or character from their new world!

This event is open to teens ages 13-19. Parents/guardians are welcome to either stay or drop-off. Tickets are $10 per teen.
