WOW! Children’s Museum is supported by a wonderful Board of Directors, which oversees the WOW!’s strategic planning and ensures a financially sound future for the Museum.
We are recruiting new board members to join our Board Of Directors to help lead the Museum, serve our mission, and make great things happen for WOW!
Our wonderful museum has been a cherished community resource for 29 years. WOW!’s mission is to inspire every child’s learning and curiosity through play. Our vision is to provide exceptional play-based learning for the diverse families of our communities – inspiring all families to nurture their children’s curiosity and spark a lifelong love of learning. We do this through hands-on, immersive exhibits, inquiry-based education programs, and special events. Our sweeping Play For All initiative works to ensure that all children, regardless of family income or other barriers, have the right to joyful play. Under Play For All, we offer $10 family memberships to families on public assistance, as well as monthly Sensory Friendly Playtimes for children with sensory processing disorders. Our Girls in Science night connects young girls with women role models from local STEM organizations, and our Kindergarten Readiness Night helps prepare five-year-olds for the school year. Family Pride night celebrates our LBGTQIA+ families, and guest performers help us celebrate Lunar New Year, Día Del Niño, and other important events for our diverse community.

Whether you’re a parent yourself, or have a passion for the power of play, we have a role for you! We are particularly in need of a board member with expertise in accounting, and in board members who are enthusiastic, skilled fundraisers. But all skill sets are welcome! We are looking to continue to build a diverse Board with members from throughout the region.
