Ruby Bridges Day

Thursday, November 14, 2024
4:00 pm5:00 pm

Ruby Bridges is a civil rights icon who, at just six years old, became the first African American child to integrate all-white William Frantz Elementary School in New Orleans. Her courage played a crucial role in the fight against segregation and has since become a symbol of resilience and the power of youthful determination to foster change. Her story is a profound reminder of the importance of standing up against injustice, no matter one's age.

In honor of Ruby Bridges, Boulder County's Mobility for All will be having a booking reading followed by a walk and talk around the Museum discussing such things as what it means to be a hero.

Museum Admission will be FREE from 3:00-5:00pm for this special event. Pre-registration via Eventbrite is requested, but not required.
