Discover your inner scientist! Drop-in and explore our monthly informal hands-on science program, then make a craft to keep.
Discover your inner scientist at our monthly hands-on science program! Discovery Days activities are developed by Education staff and facilitated by volunteers. They allow free exploration of the Museum’s monthly theme through multisensory science activities, dramatic role play, relevant math and reading opportunities, and craft projects to bring that theme to life. Discovery Days activities are held in a designated safe space for little learners to play and learn. The drop-in format is especially successful for children who are easily intimidated, have language barriers or learning impairments, or have short attention spans.
Learn about science concepts and topics in an informal free exploration format. Discovery Days monthly topics include weather, music and sound, animals, plants, alternative energy and more!
