Make a Clay Fish

Art classes are back at WOW! Children’s Museum this summer, so bring your little artist into our studio!

Make a Clay Fish – Tuesday, July 11th

  • Time: 3:00pm-4:00pm
  • Ages: K-3rd Grade
  • Learn how to make an easy salt dough clay. Then sculpt that clay into a fish, harden the creation, and paint your creature before you take it home!

Create a Self-Portrait – Tuesday, July 18th

  • Time: 3:00pm-4:15pm
  • Ages: K-3rd Grade
  • We look at ourselves in the mirror every day, but drawing a self-portrait can still be tricky!  Study the proportions of the face, then learn to draw and paint a self-portrait. We will use a variety of pigments, including wet paint, so please dress for mess!

Watercolor Painting – Tuesday, July 25th

  • Time: 3:00pm-4:00pm
  • Ages: 3-8 years (ages 3-5 years must be with a guardian)
  • Discover the magic of watercolors! Explore the transparency and glow of this medium, experiment by adding others, and create your own work of art.

To make sure we have enough art supplies, you must register and buy tickets at least one day before class. Please visit our Summer Class page to register or get more information.
