It seems hard to believe that the holiday season is upon us! At WOW! we enjoy helping families celebrate and enjoy this special season together. We strive to provide seasonal crafts, activities, and a New Year’s Eve party to help families celebrate in a way that is fun, comfortable, and meaningful to them.
It’s a busy time of year for us, with kids out of school and families visiting the Museum with their holiday guests. During this time we rely on volunteers more than ever to help things run smoothly and help to accommodate our increased number of visitors. Art room volunteers, exhibit guides, and museum activity volunteers are always in high demand during this busy time. We are happy to offer holiday volunteering hours to our regular volunteers, as well as to volunteers who receive time to volunteer from their businesses. It’s also a great time for our teen volunteers to come in to get their school-required volunteer hours filled while they are off for their winter break. In fact, many of our volunteers who have graduated from high school now come back to volunteer at WOW! during their breaks from college. We’re happy to have all of our volunteers here to celebrate the joys of the season with us and our visitors.
If you would like to join us to volunteer this holiday season, contact Kim Brown, Volunteer Manager.
