WOW! Children’s Museum believes in the power of play. Informal play is being threatened at schools and at home, with children becoming more scheduled and having less freedom to play. WOW! serves a critical role in our community by providing informal play experiences in a safe and educational environment.
Here, children can explore the properties of a bubble, pretend to be a pirate, create their own work of art, and harvest vegetables in a garden. The Museum is full of ways for kids to explore, discover and imagine! But we don’t stop at our walls – WOW! is out in the community, teaching about science to local classrooms, and helping children develop a love of learning.
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, WOW! relies on the support of individuals, corporations, foundations, volunteers and community members. Did you know that only 70% of Museum expenses are covered by admission fees? We rely on generous support from the community to fulfill our mission of helping children learn through play. Every dollar donated to the Museum goes directly towards building exhibits, delivering science programs in local classrooms, and providing low cost admissions to children in need.
We rely on our generous funding partners to build exhibits, deliver programming, reach key audiences and support our vision of providing children with hands-on opportunities to learn through play.
